The new Vertical Agreements Block Exemption: an overhaul of contracting practice? 20 oktober 2015 On 1 June 2010 the new rules on distribution agreements of the European Commission entered into force. Contracts must be amended in light of the new rules before 1 June 2011. On Thursday, 23 September 2010, the EU & Competition practice group organised a seminar titled “Making the Most of Distribution Agreements and Competition Law”. The new rules were explained during that seminar. In the October 2010 issue of Contracteren, Minos van Joolingen and Dorien Noordeloos (EU & Competition practice group) also discuss the new rules at length. Various subjects were addressed during the seminar, including the detailed rules regarding the restrictions on the use of the Internet. In the new rules the European Commission has provided a detailed explanation of its policy on the use of the Internet. In response to various questions from the participants an interesting discussion of the various changes arose. The EU & Competition practice group therefore looks back on a successful seminar. If you have any questions or require any further information in response to the above, please contact, without any commitment, Minos van Joolingen.
